Family advocacy service

Advocacy means, "speaking on behalf of someone and representing their needs in order to safeguard their interests and rights".

OxFSN’s Advocates will be a resource for individual parents and family carers, one that is free, totally confidential and independent of all other agencies.

Family Advocates will work across agencies including, Social Services, Health, Independent and Voluntary Sector.

The role of the Family Advocate is to bring a measure of relief to parents and family carers, by listening to them and helping them access and understand information and turning confusion into order by supporting individuals through difficult and uncertain times.
